:: Friday, November 28, 2003 :: Class Struggle 101:: Thursday, November 27, 2003 :: Barbara Ehrenreich is one of the best muckrakers of today's journalism. She's profiled this month in Columbia Journalism Review.:: Thursday, November 20, 2003 :: SCARY!!!:: Sunday, November 16, 2003 :: Now I don't know whether to be scared, angry, or just plain annoyed. The latest crap from those in support of George W. "the Edumacation President" Bush involves defunding college international/area studies programs if they're deemed too leftist. At least the Yalies are doing something about it. Vijay Prashad puts things in perspective. It's no secret that college tuition is way too high and getting higher. Here's what some in Congress want to do about it.:: Sunday, November 09, 2003 :: A New York Times report charges that elite colleges get the lion's share of federal education aid money, and it's not necessarily going to needy students.:: Tuesday, November 04, 2003 :: This is a topic that I've been following on and off since my first days of college. I remember at Columbia, there were maybe 2-3 student suicides every year (and add to that 1-2 murders, but that's another subject). I don't know the statistics for Hunter, but I'm sure the phenomenon isn't unknown here either.
